Last night was an awesome night! We went to see the Ringling Bros Circus. That was the first time that I know of that I have been to a circus. Ringling Bros outdid themselves! Edward Jones invited all employees to the circus in celebration of opening their 10,000 office in Connecticut. We all had a good night. Nate loved all the animals and the clowns and trapeze people. We had really good seats and could see most of everything.
Well, I need to finish getting ready for church. There are more things I want to blog about so that will have to wait till this evening. Nate woke up around 9:30am so no nap for him this afternoon. Will have to wait till he goes down for bed tonight.

I sure doubt that it was an "awesome night" for the many animals you saw perform, including 11 elephants, most of whom were stolen from their mothers in the wild so that they could be broken and trained to perform for you. Those babies will never see their mothers again, or vice versa. How sad it is that you express no concern or remorse for the animals tortured into performing unnatural and dangerous tricks, and spending almost all of their lives chained, in cages, on trains...places where they have no semblance of a natural life. Glad you were entertained.
Reuben- we all love torturing animals. Don't you know that's why everyone goes to the circus? Duh...
Sounds like Reuben is a real passionate guy on this subject. I've found a couple of other posts he's put out there regarding the same subject. I wonder if he feels the same compassion for the poor people in Iowa that are flooded out, or the folks in California that are burned out of their homes (or the mudslides or earthquakes). Or how about the poor baby that was left in a dumpster here in St. Louis. Kind of sad that these PETA folks loose focus on their fellow human beings. What about "concern and remorse" for these people?
Since when does training account for torturing? These elephants are big enough to say they've had enough if it was a form of torture.
